We started with a viva. You have set out to do a laparoscopy as investigation of failure to conceive. As soon as you insert the laparoscope, you realise it is in the bowel. What are you going to do? Discuss with the examiner.
We then moved to the next day. You have to speak to the patient about what happened. Then we moved on to writing a report about the incident for the risk management team.
This left us with a few minutes as the end and we had a quick roleplay about a woman attending for pre-pregnancy counselling whose father has recently been diagnosed with Huntington's disease.
